Celebrating the Season of Love Across Seasons Communities

Seasons London Residents Alan & Jean

February is about more than cards and heart‑shaped chocolates at Seasons Retirement Communities. It’s a reminder that love shows up in every season of life—in marriages that have spanned decades, in friendships that spark in unexpected places, and in the everyday moments that bring everyone who lives and works with us together.

This month, we’re celebrating the many ways residents across our communities remind us that love doesn’t retire.

57 Years of Devotion at Seasons Dufferin Centre

Seasons Dufferin Centre residents Marg and Ron recently celebrated an extraordinary milestone – 57 years of marriage.

With their anniversary on February 16th, the couple embraced Valentine’s week as a time to look back on their journey together. Having recently moved from farm life—arriving with their beloved rescue cat, Crosby—the pair brought with them a lifetime of memories and a love story defined by commitment and resilience.

“Their kindness, warmth and the incredible 57 years they’ve shared together are inspiring,”
says Tina Dignard, Fun Manager at Seasons Dufferin Centre.

From the comfort of knowing support is always nearby to the joy of making new connections, Marg and Ron are embracing this next chapter with grace, gratitude, and humour—proving that love continues to flourish in retirement.

Belonging and Lifelong Bonds at Seasons London

Love reveals itself in moments big and small at Seasons London—from joy shared over coffee to the comfort of steady companionship. Residents Alan and Jean chose the community because it immediately felt like home, and today their days are filled with joint activities and newfound friendships.

Another touching story at this community features lifelong friends Georgina and Helen, whose bond formed years ago has stood the test of time and led them to eventually live at Seasons London. Helen moved into the residence first, then later welcomed Georgina—who quickly found both belonging and new experiences.

“This friendship and the move here have brought me so many new friendships and a new sense of belonging,” shares Georgina.

Every conversation, shared pastime, and smile at Seasons London reinforces the same message: Love doesn’t have time to retire.

60 Years of Marriage and Friendship at Seasons Ponoka

February celebrated connections of all kinds at Seasons Ponoka—from lifelong partnerships to brand‑new friendships. Residents Murvin and Carol, married for an incredible 60 years, embody this spirit. Their love story began when Carol was in high school and Murvin was a first-year college student. Today, they are enjoying their golden years together at Seasons Ponoka.

But affection here isn’t just romantic.

Residents Violet and Georgia have formed a joyful friendship built on games of cribbage and easy camaraderie—reminding everyone that friendship can be just as meaningful as romance.

“Creating a warm, welcoming environment where those connections can grow is at the heart of everything we do,” shares Stephanie Waldron, General Manager at Seasons Ponoka.

Connection—no matter its form—is always worth celebrating.

Love Lives Here — Today and Every Day

Across all Seasons communities, residents remind us that love is timeless. Whether it’s a long-lasting marriage, a cherished friendship or a welcoming conversation that turns into a feeling of belonging, there are countless ways to connect and every one of them is worth celebrating.

Seasons believes love is one of life’s greatest gifts—and here, it’s always in season.
