Seasons is excited to announce the launch of Seasons Magazine!

We know that the decision to move to a retirement community is an important one. The decision is usually precipitated by a significant change in one’s life, such as changes in health or the loss of a spouse. Times like these can be confusing and emotional. Often, after people visit a retirement community, they find themselves thinking, “Oh, I wish I had asked this” or “What did they say about that?”

Seasons Magazine is a resource for all things Seasons Retirement Communities. It touches on the most important aspects of living at Seasons, such as food, care, safety and activities. It gives real examples of how Seasons team members commit to making positive connections with our residents, showing that they care so as to creating positive change in the lives of our residents. The magazine is perfect for those quiet moments at home, when you can read at your leisure, and understand what it means to join a Seasons community.

Here are five fun facts to peak your interest in Seasons Magazine:

  1. Our gorgeous cover photo features Seasons resident Lois, and our Marketing Coordinator, Sophie Lapierre. Sophie and Lois became fast friends, laughingly referring to one another as “grandma” and “granddaughter” throughout the photo shoot
  2. Celebrity Chef Anna Olson is a good friend of Seasons Retirement Communities, acting as judge at the Seasons First Avenue Annual Apple Pie Baking contest, for the past few years. Despite her hectic schedule, Anna graciously agreed to be interviewed for our first edition and provided us with her award-winning apple pie recipe
  3. Seasons employees can make a mean PB&J sandwich. As part of our commitment to battle food insecurity in the communities where we have retirement homes, we partnered with Which Wich© Superior Sandwiches and hosted a Project PB&J© Spreading Party last October. In just one hour we made 8,937 PB&J sandwiches and donated them to local food banks
  4. 2017 marks the 5th year of the Seasons Celebrates Remarkable Residents contest. Last year’s winner, Clyde perfectly embodies the qualities of a Remarkable Resident. You can view his story, and the stories of our other finalists, by clicking here. We are in the process of selecting this year’s Remarkable Resident finalists. Visit our Facebook page in May to vote for your favourite story. The winner receives one month FREE rent!

Everyone who has a personal visit a Seasons Retirement Community will receive a copy of Seasons Magazine. For your convenience, Seasons Magazine is also online! Click here to read more.
