As they consider a move to retirement living, people may focus on what they leave behind. Seasons Retirement Communities encourages you to envision all you or your loved one will gain by moving to one of our homes in Alberta or Ontario. There is a sense of community among new neighbours and staff who genuinely care about your safety and well-being. By being freed from the hassles of meal preparation, home maintenance, and daily chores or cleaning, there are countless opportunities to make new connections or perhaps rekindle old ones with Seasons residents you or your loved one may already know.
Seasons has achieved Great Place To Work® and Canada’s Best Managed Company accreditation. These milestones recognize organizational excellence and the significant contributions of our team members. Seasons understands that engaged staff provide residents with exceptional care and customer service daily, delivering on the promise to create meaningful “wow moments.” As a Canadian-owned and operated organization, this gives our residents and their families confidence in our people-first operational excellence. Seasons spends a lot of time planning every detail, from the design of its communities and the amenities to residents’ menu plans and activity calendars, ensuring that what is important to you or your loved one is reflected in what you will experience at Seasons.
Questions will come up when someone starts to think about retirement living. Seasons proactively responds to some of the most common questions from new prospects and their families on its website. Below are other interesting inquiries received*:
Can I opt out of the meals? Can I receive tray service if I’m unable to attend meal times?
Depending on the Seasons community, our fee includes one to three healthy, home-cooked meals a day. Additionally, beverages and snacks are always available for your convenience. Seasons encourages our residents to enjoy meals with others to create a social atmosphere and build friendships. However, we understand that some situations or barriers may arise. Please connect with the Leasing Manager or Health and wellness Manager to ask about applicable situations in which tray service may apply.
Can my family join me for meals?
Family members are encouraged to join their loved ones and experience the delicious meals and superior service courtesy of Seasons’ dedicated dining teams. Please contact the Front Desk for information about meal ticket pricing and reserving a seat.
Can my family come to an activity?
Absolutely! Family members are welcome to experience all that retirement living offers their loved ones. Seasons has many daily activities for our residents, including social events, outings, live entertainment, and so much more. Please contact the Fun Manager for full details.
Can I hang things on the walls? Can I paint or modify the suite? Is there a damage deposit?
Seasons takes pride in its suites, which are accessible, clean, and maintained for residents. You are welcome to hang pictures with hooks and only ask that we can easily putty and paint if repairs are required. Typically, Seasons does not permit residents to paint or hang wallpaper. Also, we do not need a damage deposit; residents would be financially responsible for the repairs if there is significant damage after moving out. Please contact the Leasing Manager and/or Environmental Service Manager for any inquiries about changes or additions allowed at your specific Seasons home.
Can I install ensuite laundry?
Though some Seasons communities offer ensuite laundry, we cannot accommodate the redesign of a suite in a home that does not provide this feature. In these instances, we have conveniently placed common laundry rooms for residents to access.
Can I transfer my current landline phone number when moving in?
Our resident suites come with a pre-assigned landline phone number for your convenience. In Seasons homes, where telephone services are not offered, you may be able to transfer your current landline.
Is there Wi-Fi provided?
Seasons is pleased to provide standard Wi-Fi in all common areas of the home, which residents can fully access.
