COVID-19 Update Nov 5, 2020: Seasons Welland

November 5, 2020

COVID-19-Blog

Hello everyone,

As you may be aware, Public Health has advised us today that we have one confirmed staff member case of COVID-19 and has declared our home in Outbreak status.

Please rest assured that the health and safety of all our staff and residents continue to be our highest priority. The staff member was last in the home on November 1st with limited interaction with residents. We will maintain daily contact with Public Health and continue to work collaboratively as we await further testing guidelines, results and directives.

In an abundance of caution, Seasons has made the decision to isolate all residents. This means residents will receive their twice-daily temperature and wellness checks, activities and all meals to their suites. It is our hope that should no other cases present themselves, residents will be able to resume their regular activities outside of their suites as of November 15.

Due to our Outbreak status, residents are required to remain in the home and only permitted to leave for an essential medical appointment. Visits will not be permitted during this time. Any requests for access to the home by an essential designated caregiver will need to be requested and approved in advance by Seasons and Public Health.

Seasons will continue to be transparent with all of you as we continue to monitor this situation closely. Thank you for the trust you have placed in Seasons Retirement Communities. We take our responsibility very seriously and will continue to make decisions with our staff and residents’ health and safety in mind.

Sincerely,

LeighAnne Voll
Chief Operating Officer
