Hello everyone,
I want to update you on the situation at Seasons Camrose. Yesterday we were informed that two of the three Rosegate and Lochleigh residents we were monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms were negative, and one was positive.
Today, we were informed that this was an error: in fact, two of the three residents are positive and only one is negative. Both positive residents remain in isolation with droplet precautions.
As a result, Seasons Camrose is now in outbreak status. Starting tomorrow, we will conduct prevalence testing for staff and residents in Portsmouth, Lochleigh and Rosegate cottages. In an abundance of caution, all residents in these areas will be isolated and will receive their twice-daily temperature and wellness checks, activities and all meals to their suites.
Visits will not be permitted during this time. Any requests for access to the home by an essential designated caregiver will need to be requested and approved in advance by Seasons Camrose and Public Health. We are requesting that residents in our independent and SL3 residence remain on our
premises and only leave for essential medical appointments at this time.
Please rest assured that the health and safety of all our staff and residents continue to be our highest priority. We are working closely with Alberta Health Services’ (AHS) Medical Officer of Health, Infection Prevention and Control, and Home Care to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.
We will continue to be transparent with all of you as we continue to monitor this situation closely. Thank you for the trust you have placed in Seasons Retirement Communities. We take our responsibility very seriously and will continue to make decisions with our staff and residents’ health and safety in mind.
Sincerely,
LeighAnne Voll
Chief Operating Officer
