March 2, 2021
Hello, everyone.
At long last, after weeks without a single case of COVID-19, I am happy to report that Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Communicable Disease Control (CDC) have declared the outbreak at Seasons Camrose to be over!
Additionally, our Independent Living residents received their second dose of the vaccine yesterday, giving us another reason to celebrate.
Thank you, Seasons Camrose residents and families, for your support and cooperation with our enhanced safety protocols. While all decisions have been made with your health and wellbeing in mind, we know these decisions have had a significant impact on your day-to-day lives. Thank you for your patience.
I want to thank the Seasons Camrose team members for their ongoing commitment and dedication during this challenging time. I know you have made personal sacrifices to ensure the health of our residents and your fellow team members. We see the important work you have done, and it is greatly appreciated.
While the end of the outbreak and final vaccination clinic gives us much peace of mind, we know our work fighting COVID-19 is not over. The full efficacy of the vaccine takes time to build after the second dose. There are still cases in the local community, which is the greatest risk to spread within our retirement homes. Please revel in this good news responsibly and maintain your vigilance.
Sincerely,
LeighAnne Voll
