Hello everyone,
Durham Region Health Department (Public Health) has confirmed that we have a positive staff case of COVID-19. As a result, Seasons Clarington is being placed into outbreak status.
Effective immediately, all residents are asked to isolate in the comfort of their suites. We will deliver all meals, snacks, activities and conduct twice daily wellness checks. Residents are asked to remain on-site and visits will not be permitted during this time. Any requests for access to the home by an Essential Designated Caregiver will need to be requested and approved in advance by Seasons Clarington and Public Health. At this time, we encourage you to keep in touch with your loved one via phone, text or email. Our team members are more than happy to discuss alternative options to help you stay connected.
We have started contact tracing efforts and will alert those who were in close contact with this individual. As always, all team members are asked to self-assess for COVID-19 symptoms and exposure risk using our screening tool before reporting for their shift.
Durham Region Health Department has indicated that they will test all Seasons Clarington staff and residents within the next few days. We will keep you informed as to when this will take place, and will update you as to the results as soon as we receive them.
Please rest assured that the health and safety of all our staff and residents remain our greatest priority. We will work collaboratively with Public Health and follow all directives they set forth. Thank you all for your cooperation and support.
Sincerely,
LeighAnne Voll
