After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cease retirement operations at Seasons Lethbridge by April 29, 2022. We are looking for a buyer that will provide different yet equally valuable services to the community of Lethbridge.
We shared this information with the staff and residents of Seasons Lethbridge last week. Making such a big decision is not one we took lightly, and I want to reassure you that we have no intention to close any other Seasons Retirement Community.
We are going to great lengths to ensure the well-being of Seasons Lethbridge staff and residents. Team members will receive a generous compensation package, access to individual counselling via our Employee and Family Assistance Program and reference letters. We are working collaboratively with our Union partner. They are welcome to apply for work at any sister Seasons Retirement Community.
We are ensuring all residents have appropriate accommodation. Many are choosing to move to Seasons Lethbridge Gardens, where we will provide the same services at the same price they currently pay. Regardless of where they move within Lethbridge, we will coordinate and pay their moving expenses.
Whether they have lived or worked with us, we want to thank our team members, residents and their families for choosing Seasons Retirement Communities. We will do everything we can to ensure a smooth transition.
