Honouring our Seasons Veterans

Remembrance-Day-blog

On Remembrance Day, it is important for Canadians to honour the brave soldiers who died in the line of duty, and to thank all veterans and active servicemen and women for their contributions to our freedom.

At Seasons, we are proud that many veterans choose to call us home. Throughout Veterans’ Week, observed November 5 – 11, Seasons Retirement Communities has engaged in meaningful commemorative initiatives to honour these brave individuals.

For example, each Seasons community is hosting our annual Pennies for Poppies program. In collaboration with our local Royal Canadian Legions, residents, staff, and visitors donate money to the Poppy Campaign. Each donor receives a paper poppy to write their name on, so we may display it proudly in our home. Additionally, we ‘plant’ a beautiful garden of paper poppies outdoors, as a visual display of our promise to never forget.

This Remembrance Day, let us remember our Veterans’ important stories so that their legacies may live on forever:
