DSL4D provides specialized dementia care. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe dementia, who may have a high risk of wandering and unpredictable behaviours but are not a safety risk to themselves or others. DSL4D residents receive specialized care services.
The Seasons Embrace Today® memory care philosophy is integral to DSL4D care in a Seasons residence. This philosophy requires a deep understanding of who our residents are, so staff may adjust their interactions and respond with whatever is needed in the moment. Each of our trained service team members commits to approaching the workday with a promise to do their best to make all interactions positive and meaningful, one moment at a time. We believe that having positive, authentic relationships among all care partners elevates person-centered care and makes it more meaningful.
With a dedicated dining room, activity or gathering area and quiet room, our secure Memory Care areas are specially designed with our residents’ unique needs in mind.
Adults living in Designated Supportive Living (DSL) need significant support for many aspects of daily living but do not need care in a long-term care residence. DSL residents receive personal care as determined by an Alberta Health Services individual care plan.
Seasons’ Embrace Today® Memory Care philosophy requires a deep understanding of our residents, so our team members may adjust their interactions and respond with whatever is needed in the moment. For more information, speak to the Health & Wellness Manager.
