(Formerly known as Supportive Living 4D or SL4D). This level provides specialized care for seniors living with dementia. SL4D is for individuals with moderate to severe dementia, who may have a high risk of wandering and unpredictable behaviours but are not a safety risk to themselves or others. Memory care community residents receive specialized care services.
The Seasons Embrace Today® memory care philosophy is integral to Continuing Care Home Type B Secure Space care in a Seasons residence. This philosophy requires a deep understanding of who our residents are, so staff may adjust their interactions and respond with whatever is needed in the moment. Each of our trained service team members commits to approaching the workday with a promise to do their best to make all interactions positive and meaningful, one moment at a time. We believe that having positive, authentic relationships among all care partners elevates person-centred care and makes it more meaningful.
This level includes three meals daily, housekeeping services, access to our activity programming and 24-hour emergency response. It also includes assistance with the activities of daily living, additional unscheduled care in a secure area.
With a dedicated dining room, activity or gathering area and quiet room, our secure Memory Care areas are specially designed with our residents’ unique needs in mind.
